How Rich People Think Compared to Poor People

“The mind is everything. What you think, you become.”

Whatever your inward thoughts you accept about yourself, you will ultimately express outwardly in your actions. Because of this, it’s important to monitor what types of thoughts you allow to shape your reality. If you’d ultimately like to be wealthy through real estate, it’ll help you to understand the difference between how poor people think in comparison to the rich people of this world.

In the book called “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind”, T. Harv Eker says that people who are wealthy think different in 17 specific ways.

Rich people believe “I create my life”.
Poor people believe “Life happens to me”.

Rich people play the money game to win
Poor people play the money game to not lose.

Rich people are committed to being rich
Poor people want to be rich.

Rich people think big
Poor people think small.

Rich people focus on opportunities.

Poor people focus on obstacles.

Rich people admire other rich and successful people
Poor people resent rich and successful people.

Rich people associate with positive, successful people.

Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.

Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value
Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.

Rich people are bigger than their problems
Poor people are smaller than their problems.

Rich people are excellent receivers
Poor people are poor receivers.

Rich people choose to get paid based on results
Poor people choose to get paid based on time.

Rich people think “both”.

Poor people think “either/or”.

Rich people focus on their net worth
Poor people focus on their working income.

Rich people manage their money well
Poor people mismanage their money well.

Rich people have their money work hard for them
Poor people work hard for their money.

Rich people act in spite of fear
Poor people let fear stop them.

Rich people constantly learn and grow
Poor people think they already know.

In order for you to become successful, it’s important to understand this great lesson.

Jim Rohn said this and he was right, “Profits are better than wages. Wages can make you a living. Profits can make you a fortune.”

Nobody wants to spend the rest of their life working at a job they don’t even like for mediocre pay. Isn’t it about time you took control of your own financial future if you haven’t already?

The contrast is really huge. I like this:
    “Rich people think big.
    Poor people think small.”

It is really funny and motivating article. This one is my favorite:
Rich people believe “I create my life”.
Poor people believe “Life happens to me”.
    So true!

I liked all of them. Great motivation.:)

I like this article, and I think most of the words are true except for this one “Poor people think they already know”. Some poor people who want to successful also keep learning and growing.

Definitely true. This article is obviously a generalization and so there are certainly exceptions to all of the rules. It is just meant to highlight some of the most common differences between rich people and poor people.
